Alyssa Sue Myers entered this life on June 26, 1991 in Ottumwa, IA to Trina and Verne Myers. Alyssa grew up in Batavia and attended Cardinal High School where she graduated with the class of 2009. Upon graduation she worked at several different jobs including Cargill, HyVee in Fairfield, and most recently the Recovery Room in Ottumwa. Alyssa had a style all her own, and she was very proud of that. She loved lighthouses, and took a road trip to Maine to see some of them in person. She had a daring side that pushed her to go skydiving this past summer. She also had a quite side that enjoyed sitting down and reading a book. She loved Marylin Monroe and any old rock and roll. Alyssa spent her life being her own person and in doing so, left an imprint in the hearts of her family and many friends.
Left to share her story are her parents, Verne Myers of Eldon, IA and Trina Myers of Ottumwa, IA; two sisters, Ashley (R.J. Bell) Myers of Macomb, IL and Courtney (Spencer Schulz) Myers of Ottumwa, IA; her nieces and nephews, Antwon Bell, Tiana Bell, Trevon Bell, and Ziza Schulz, as well as many extended family and friends.
