Angie Meloy

Angie Meloy Angela Meloy, 72, of Burlington and formerly of Ottumwa, died at 6:04 a.m. February 1, 2019 at Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.
She was born September 28, 1946 in Highland Park, IL to Frank and Hilda Bauer Gesualdo. She married Patrick "Pat" Meloy July 1, 1967.
Angie worked 33 years for Wapello County. She retired as Deputy Payroll Auditor in 2007.
She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the St. Patrick Altar and Rosary Society.
Surviving is her husband Pat; a daughter, Amy (Timothy) Gerst of Danville, IA; a son, Sean (Kara) Meloy of Cedar Rapids; 3 grandchildren, Braden Gerst, Hunter Intorp and Sam Meloy; a great-grandson, Jackson Gerst; 3 sisters, Sandra Louderback of Ottumwa; Loretta (Lyle) Tuttle of Surprise, AZ and Becky Dennis of Weston, CO.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Randy Dennis.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home with the family present from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Fr. Patrick Hilgendorf presiding. Cremation will follow the services. Inurnment will be in Shaul Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ottumwa or Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.

I worked with Angie at the courthouse, she was always a very sweet woman. Amy and Sean, I went to school at Seton with you, and got to know your mom. I'm so sorry and will be praying for you and your dad at this very difficult time.
