Blanche  Graves
Blanche Graves, 92, of Bloomfield, Iowa passed away on August 27, 2019 at the Bloomfield Care Center. She was born July 25, 1927 in Davis County, Iowa to Lee Ola Burton and Lue Verna Stookesbury. She married Roy L. Graves and the couple had four children. Roy passed away in 1962.

Blanche had worked at the plastic factory, American Welding and Tank, and the Bloomfield Foundry. The last several years of her career, she worked for Barkers in Keosauqua, Iowa. Blanche was a member of the National Rifle Association for a number of years and enjoyed hunting and trap shooting.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary (Gerald) Bragg, Bonnie (Wayne) Glosser both of Bloomfield; daughter-in-law, Charlene Graves; six grandchildren, Roy (Carmen) Glosser of Pulaski, Iowa, Jeff (Greta) Glosser of Ninilchik, Alaska, Marcy (Rod Johnson) Glosser of Bloomfield, Dr. Angela Glosser of Missouri, Patricia (Scott) Murdock of Bloomfield, George Graves of Bloomfield; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two sons, John Graves, and infant Jimmy Graves.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 30, 2019 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Sonny Smyser officiating. Burial will be at the Stiles Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Friday with the family present to greet friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials have been established to the Bloomfield Care Center Activity Fund and Good Samaritan Hospice. Online condolences may be directed to www.waglerfuneralhome.com.
