Bob's Story

Bob Ray Fisk, 87, formerly of 309 Clarence St. died at 4:37 a.m. May 6, 2017 at Vista Woods Care Center.
He was born December 17, 1929 in Ottumwa to Arch and Joy McCarty Fisk. He married Wanda Sapp on May 14, 1948. She preceded him in death on September 12, 2002.
A graduate of Winfield High School in Winfield, Iowa, Bob was a contractor, owning and operating Bob Fisk Construction.
He had attended First Church of the Nazarene in Oskaloosa.
Surviving is a son, Jim Fisk of Ottumwa; three daughters, Julie (Steve) Bell, June Traul (fiancé Dennis Heitkamp) and Judy (Jeff) Stevens all of Ottumwa; eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Jane Fisk; a sister, Roberta Harris; two brothers, Max Fisk and Bill Fisk.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Mel Kendall officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Inurnment will be in Shaul Cemetery.
Visitation will start at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice serving Davis and Wapello Counties, 927 Pennsylvania Ave. Ottumwa, IA 52501.
