A sad day for all the people whose lives Byron touched. Byron was my friend! With God's blessing I will someday be his friend in heaven. What a joy that will be.

Geri, I am so very, very sorry to learn of Byron's passing. Byron and I first met in 1955 at OHS on the basketball court, and we remained very close friends all of our lives. We enjoyed my good rounds of golf at the Munie, and many good times in your home. I have never forgotten the "bump," at our 56 class reunion. My prayers, my thoughts, and my sympathy go out to you and your entire family. May God bless you and be with you during this sad time.

Vic and family:
I check the Ottumwa obituaries online from time to time, and saw today of your dad's death. Though it's been a long time since high school and we've had no contact, you (and your family) are being thought of this morning, and will be in the days ahead as well, Sending condolences and the hope that you will find comfort in all of the good memories you have of your father.

Regards,

Geri, Victor, Eric, and Angela, cousins all, I was sorry to hear about Byron’s passing, and I am keeping you in prayer. Rest assured, He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth; for the Lord hath spoken it.

May the grace of our Lord be with you all and may the fond memories of Byron be forever in your hearts. I grew on Jefferson Street and Byron lived near there.
