Camilla was born on June 18, 1939, in Monroe County to Ambrose and Catherine (Heland) Kearney. She attended Eldorado Country School in Monroe County; graduated from Lovilia High School, class of 1956. She married Jerry Wynn on May 21, 1960 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Weller. They were blessed with four children, Jim, David, Marc, and Susan.
Upon high school graduation, Camilla worked in Des Moines until attending St. Joesph's Nursing School in Ottumwa that fall. She graduated from there in 1959, and worked at St. Joseph's until 1960. At that time she and Jerry moved to Waterloo to pursue their careers, where Camilla worked as a nurse at St. Francis Hospital. After one year they returned to Monroe County to live on the family farm, and raise their family. Camilla then worked at the Monroe County Hospital. She retired from the Monroe County Hospital after thirty-seven years; then continued to work part-time at Oakwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for two years. She saw many changes in health care over that time, and her giving spirt and unending compassion was experienced by so many throughout her nursing career.
Camilla was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Weller, and later at St. Peter's Church in Lovilia. She worked full-time in all capacities as a wife, mother, nurse, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was her grandchildren's number one fan, and they all felt they were her favorite! Her true joy in life was her family, beginning with Jerry. She was always offering incentives to the grandchildren for going the extra mile in athletics and academics. When Jerry and Camilla were not cheering on their children and grandchildren at ball games, they enjoyed going to the casino.
Camilla is survived by her husband, Jerry of Lovilia; four children, Jim (Brenda) Wynn of Albia, David (Michelle) Wynn of Albia, Marc (Jill) Wynn of Lovilia, Susan (Kirk) McAninch of Lovilia; grandchildren, Greg (Sara) Wynn, Sarah (Sean) Hollonbeck, Carrie (Chad) Hollerud, Kevin Wynn and Kailey, Skyler, Kenzie, and Tanner Wynn, Nathaniel, Luke Wynn, Katie and Nick Beary; Hunter, Jer, and Millie McAninch; great grandchildren, Jace Leasure, Koltin and Max Wynn, Daphne and Otis Hollonbeck, Chip Wynn, Grace and Nicholas Beary. She is also survived by her siblings, Mike (Donna) Kearney of Newton, Vicki Kearney of Eldridge, Tommy Kearney of South Carolina, John (Gale) Kearney of Ames, Mary Jo (Jeff) Parrott of Marshalltown, Pat (Julie) Kearney of Chariton, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ambrose and Catherine Kearney; two brothers, Gene and Billy Kearney; father and mother-in-law, Edgar "Cap" and Katherine Wynn.
