Charles S. Wilcox, Sr., 69, of Ottumwa, died March 10, 2018 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
He was born June 9, 1948, the son of Wilbur and Olive Wilcox. He married Connie McLaughlin on December 31, 1994.
Charles served with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. He had been an over the road truck driver for 35 years.
Surviving are his wife, Connie; a son, Bradley (Rebecca) Wilcox of Raytown, MO; step-children, Mark (Alisha) McLaughlin of Floris and Laura McLaughlin of Ottumwa; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, John (Elaine) Veldhuizen of Blairsville, GA and Jerry Wilcox.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Charles Wilcox Jr.
His body has been cremated. A Celebration of Life will be 4 p.m. Friday at the Wapello County 4-H Extension Building, 13011 120th Ave., Ottumwa.
