Chris  Ehrenhard


Christopher Charles Ehrenhard, 37, of 604 Baldwin, died December 3, 2018 as a result of a construction accident in Marshalltown.
He was born September 15, 1981 in Farmington, NM to David and Linda Keasling Ehrenhard.
A 1999 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Chris had traveled the country working construction and was presently employed by Bridge City Construction.
Chris was a people person and was so involved with his family. He loved to grill, attend auctions and play bingo. He was bigger than life so you always knew when he was around.
He is survived by his son, Dylan Ehrenhard of Ottumwa; his parents, David and Linda Ehrenhard of Ottumwa; a brother, Cody Ehrenhard of Ottumwa; a sister, Rachael (Brandon) Veatch of Ottumwa; 4 nieces and nephews, Spencer, Carter & Taylor Ehrenhard and Connor Veatch; uncles and aunt, Philip Ehrenhard of Aurora, CO and Dan and Sue Keasling of Ottumwa; several cousins including 3 special local ones, Tyler Keasling, Kaysha Dodson and Loraine Dodson; his significant other, Cassie Pierce and her children, Ethan and Evynne all of Ottumwa; and his dog, Jezzabell.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Harlan and Joann Keasling, Erwen and Ruth Ehrenhard; an uncle, Jeff Keasling.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Mel Kendall officiating. Burial will be in Brooks Cemetery near Hedrick.
Visitation begins at 11 a.m. Thursday with the family present from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday.
Memorials may be made for his son's education or Calvary Baptist Church.
