David D. Frymoyer, 69, of Ottumwa died November 28, 2017 at his home.
He was born January 4, 1948 in Ottumwa to William Dean and Bernadine R. Rullman Frymoyer. He married Toni Harmon October 20, 1967 in Ottumwa.
A graduate of Ottumwa High School in 1967, David served as a police officer on the Ottumwa Police Department until 1987. He owned and operated Frymoyer's Hunting and Marine from 1983 till 1997.
He had been a member of Ottumwa Baptist Temple, Iowa State Police Association and Izaak Walton League where he was a Past President. He started Southern Iowa Diving Association and taught Scuba Diving Classes. He was an avid hunter, boater and supporter of the Southeast Iowa Duck Races.
Surviving is his wife, Toni; two sons, Matt (Brandi) Frymoyer of Canton, MO and Mark Frymoyer of Kellogg, IA; 3 grandchildren, Johnathon, Alex and Leah; 3 step-grandchildren, David Austin and Mariah; a great granddaughter, Bliss; a sister, Lynn (Greg) Turner of Greenwood, FL.
He was preceded in death by his father and step-mother, Dean and Marianna Frymoyer; mother and stepfather, Bernadine and Keith Argo; and a brother, Danny Frymoyer.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Reece Funeral Home with Chaplin Gary Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
Memorials may be made to the Izakk Walton League.
