Donald Leslie Knotts, 79, of Ottumwa died at 11:08 a.m. November 27, 2017 at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
He was born March 9, 1938 in Kansas City, MO to Kenneth Leslie and Velma Fisher Knotts. He married Mary Ann Eklofe August 11, 1958.
A graduate of Ottumwa High School in 1957, he worked at John Morrell and Co., Low Temp and owned and operated Knotts Construction.
He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aiere #114.
Surviving is his wife, Mary Ann; two sons, Don (Gigi) Knotts of Ottumwa and David (Julie) Knotts of Ottumwa; four grandchildren, Amber, Chelsea, Aaron and Brandon; two sisters, Darlene Holman and Sharon (Jerry) Murphy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Diana Mrogenski and a nephew, Jason Mrogenski.
His body has been cremated. Graveside services and inurnment will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or the donor's choice.
