Donna Kay Strait passed on to be with her Savior in the comfort of her beloved Colorado home on November 15, 2017.
Donna Kay Sloan was born on March 15, 1956 to Helen and Irvin Sloan in Eldon.
In her childhood, she was active with church camp, 4-H, basketball, track and band. She graduated from high school in 1974, and then attended Central Christian College in Moberly, Mo.
On June 13, 1975, Donna married Richard (Dick) Douglas Strait at the First Christian Church in Eldon. To this union were born Jeremy, Mandy and Jesse. The family settled into beautiful Florissant, Colo.
In her later years, Donna was a 4-H leader, Teller County Fair Board member and volunteer, and a realtor with Coldwell Banker. She enjoyed helping and working with all the different people she met.
Donna is survived by her children: Jeremy (Julie), Mandy (AJ) and Jesse; seven grandchildren; her mother, Helen Sloan; her sister, Karen Kincart (Jeff); her brother, Bob Sloan; her in-laws: Barb Pitman (Dean), Mike Strait (Judy), Teri Roberts and Curt Strait (Nichole); nieces, nephews, and a whole host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Strait; and her father, Irvin Sloan.
Memorial services were held Wednesday, Nov. 22 at the Little Chapel of the Hills in Divide, Colo.
