Dorothy Clo Weirbach, 89, of Ottumwa, died at 9:50 a.m. February 19, 2018 at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
She was born January 24, 1929 in Ottumwa to George Dewey and Dorothy Edith Walker Buffington. She married Robert Weirbach September 27, 1947 and later divorced.
A 1947 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Dorothy had worked as a flagger for Norris Construction and owned D&L Apartments in Albia.
She was a member of O.B. Nelson Unit #3 American Legion Auxiliary, Walter B. Schafer Post #775 Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #114 Auxiliary.
Dorothy dearly loved her family and riding on the back of a motorcycle.
Surviving are her children, Roger Dean (Glenda) Weirbach of Ottumwa, Michael Ray (Betty) Weirbach of North Port, FL and Deborah Kay Clair of Colo, IA; 4 grandchildren, Clint (Mika) of Eldon, Jacob (Briget) of Colo, IA, Crystal (Ben) of Collins, IA and Onika of Mt. Union, IA; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Bobby Buffington of Indianola.
Her body has been cremated and no services are planned.
