Eloise M. Pumroy, 90, of Ottumwa, died at 2:05 a.m. May 24, 2019 at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
She was born July 30, 1928 in Ottumwa to Arthur and Dorothy Fletcher Pumroy.
A 1946 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Eloise attended Parsons College. She worked for 37 ½ years for Household Finance Company retiring as assistant manager in 1985.
She was a member of East End Presbyterian Church, where she played the piano. Eloise also was a member of American Business Women's Association. She volunteered at the Exploratorium and enjoyed crafts, music and bowling.
Eloise is survived by her sister, Virginia Hubbartt; several nieces and nephews including nephew, Tom (Michael) Hubbartt; a niece, Teresa (Mike) Huffman; great-nephew, Jeff Huffman; great-niece, Kyleigh (Joe) Claybrook; great-great-nephews, Isaac and Noah.
She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Kenneth, Robert and infant Donald Pumroy; and nephew, Tim Hubbartt.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Jane Martinez officiating. Burial will be in Ottumwa Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the family present from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorials may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Hi Aunt Ginny. I was so sorry to hear about Aunt Eloise. I remember her as a very sweet and special lady. I know you will miss her terribly. Sending prayers.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I remember as a child, I so enjoyed visiting the family in Ottumwa. Aunt Eloise would take us for a ride in her little Volkswagen bug! She was always so sweet to us kids. What a special person she was. Prayers coming your way… Sandee
