Fred Hutton meant a lot to me . He was one of my mentors , and helped teach me to referee basketball . We refereed together years ago at Walsh school many times . Fred was always so nice to me and although we hadn’t kept in touch I am thankful that our paths did cross when I was just learning . God bless

So sorry to hear of Fred's passing. We always had a good time when we were together whether regarding counseling, OEA, or just visiting. Fred was dedicated, a friend to many students and teachers, and how he loved his family. He is missed. Our prayers go out for the family.

My most sincere heartfelt condolences to Fred's family. Fred and I spent thousands of cups of coffee at Parsons between classes. He was working for a funeral home at the time and would exist on very little sleep many times. May our Lord bless each of you and you preserve and relish the memories of Fred.

Fred was more like a brother than a brother-in-law. He was just a super nice guy and although I didn't get to Ottumwa to visit Davie and Fred, and I will miss him very much.

I was so sad to read of Fred's passing. Fred always thought outside of the box when it came to what we could do to work with our students at EMS. He was a true friend that I have missed golfing with for several years. My thoughts are with all of the family.
