Hannah Handling, 83, of 217 Keota St. died at 4:21 p.m. December 29, 2017 at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
She was born October 29, 1934 in Ottumwa to Fred and Angeline Sents Hill. She married Charles O. Handling August 25, 1961. He preceded her in death November 6, 2014.
A resident of Ottumwa most of her life, she was a homemaker, raising seven children. Hannah enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and Family Feud. She was a very genuine person and enjoyed having her kids visiting her every day.
Surviving are four sons, Steve (Becca) Roberts, Rick Roberts, Wes Handling and Charles "Wade" Handling all of Ottumwa; two daughters, Dianna (Gary) Mooney of Eldon, Joey Handling-Fosdyck and special son-in-law, Rick Fosdyck of Ottumwa; 20 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; a great-great grandson; a sister, Naomi LeGrande of Ottumwa; and a special care-giver, Brenda Miller of Ottumwa.
She was preceded in death by a son, Bobbie Lee Roberts; four brothers, Frank, Gordon, Leonard and Dave Hill; three sisters, Evelyn Kendrick, Violet Shipley and infant Joanna Hill.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Mel Kendall officiating. Burial will be in Agency Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday with the family present one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
Memorials may be made to the Blessings Soup Kitchen.
