Harold Edwin "Ed" Martin, 92, formerly of Ottumwa, died August 10, 2017 in Tucson, Arizona following a brief illness.
He was born January 20, 1925 in Fairfield, Iowa to Milton Martin & Elva Adams Church. He married Georgiana Millard Martin on April 2, 1947.
Ed was a 1942 graduate of Fairfield High School. He was a WWII veteran serving in the US Navy with the Pacific Fleet, Honolulu. He worked at the Ottumwa John Deere Plant for 20 years and retired in 1988 when he and his wife relocated to Arizona. Ed and his wife were members of First Christian Church while living in Ottumwa.
Surviving is his daughter, Connie Martin Dudley (Dan) of Tucson, Arizona; 6 grandchildren, Jennifer La Fleur of Phoenix, Arizona, Molly Horrocks (Sean) of Tucson, Arizona; Jess Dudley(Allison) King of Prussia, Pennsylvania; Ashley Proctor(Mark ) and Adam Martin of Tucson, Arizona; Phillip Martin(Luz Elena) of Colorado ; great grandchildren, Cristian Quezada and Brode Horrocks of Tucson, Arizona, Olivia & Chloe La Fleur of Phoenix, Arizona, Samuel & Savannah Dudley of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, Caleb Proctor and Schuyler Martin of Tucson, Arizona, brother-in-law, Phillip Millard(Sue) of Lantana, Florida,
He was preceded in death by his wife, his son, Richard Wallace Martin and infant daughter Phyllis Jean Martin, his parents and brothers Dick Martin and Milton Martin.
Graveside services will be at 2 pm on Monday October 9, 2017 at Ottumwa Memorial Cemetery, Ottumwa Iowa.
