Jack Boggs, 73, of rural Bloomfield, Iowa passed away on November 21, 2017 at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. He was born June 9, 1944 in Ottumwa, Iowa to James and Wilda Walker Boggs. He married Suzanne Eastridge on December 19, 1968. He served in the U.S. Air Force for eight years which included two tours of duty in Vietnam.
Jack was a long-haul truck driver for over 30 years. In his free time, he enjoyed restoring old cars and later restoring old tractors which he would take on long tractor rides with his friends. He was an avid NASCAR fan, and also enjoyed watching boxing and mowing the lawn. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Boggs; son, James Bubba (Cathryn) Boggs of Fremont, Iowa; two grandchildren, Riley and Logan Boggs; sister, Toni Palmer of Newberry Springs, California; and three nephews, Bill Boggs of Las Vegas, Nevada, Tim Guy, and Joe Guy.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will begin at noon on Monday, November 27, 2017 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the family present to greet friends from 5-7:00 p.m. No services are planned.
