Richard "Jack" L. Lechner, 87, of Ottumwa, died at 3:45 p.m. April 10, 2017 at Vista Woods Care Center.
He was born December 26, 1929 in Morning Sun, IA to Arthur Lee and Avis Vivian Swearingen Lechner. He married Ruby Jean McFall on October 16, 1948 in Oskaloosa and she preceded him in death on May 26, 1998.
Jack was a route salesman and driver for Coca Cola for 30 years, retiring in 1994.
He was a member of the First Christian Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Jane Lechner of Ottumwa and Barbara (Robert W.) Wilson of Mesa, AZ; three grandchildren, Dr. Douglas (Andrea) Wilson and their daughter, Daphne of Camdenton, MO, Robyn (Ross) Klawitter and their children, Macie and Brodie of Gilbert, AZ and Tyler Wilson of Mesa, AZ; and a sister, Ruth Jean Parle of Humboldt.
He was preceded in death by a brother, George Lechner and a sister, Jeanette Lechner.
Graveside services and burial will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Township Cemetery north of Fremont with Pastor Gary Brooks and Pastor Robert W. Wilson officiating.
Visitation begins at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home with the family present from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
