Frances Jeanne Brownlee, 70, of Ottumwa, passed away November 22, 2017 at Hospice House in Ottumwa, surrounded by her family.
She was born August 12, 1947 to Emmanuel and Myrtle Shaw Receveur. She married Kenneth Brownlee Sr. in 1968 and they later divorced but remained lifelong friends.
Jean had worked at Excel, Good Samaritan, Pella Corp., Everco and bartended. She loved being surrounded by her family, camping at the river, fishing, gardening, rummage sales and spoiling her fur babies. She will be remembered by her spunky attitude, caring heart, memories created and much more.
Surviving are her children, Peggy Brownlee, Tina (Dave) Bedner, Molina (Gary) Bix, and Kenny JR (Laurie) Brownlee; grandsons, Jacob, Shane and Michael Brownlee, Dakota Bix, Jeff and John Bedner; granddaughters, Alesha and Jayme Brownlee, Tricia (Justin) Klyn, Megan and Kaylee Bix, Shelby and Paige Brownlee; 5 great-grandsons and a great-granddaughter; sisters, Stella (Doug) Salter and Mary (Fred) Rowe; a brother, Art (Nancy) Receveur; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jeremy Allen; her parents; a brother, a granddaughter and a grandson.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Reid officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 11 a.m. Sunday with the family present from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Memorials may be made to the family.
