Karen Marie Kline, 74, of Pulaski, Iowa passed away January 4, 2018 at her home. She was born June 24, 1943 in Davis County, Iowa to Orville Ronald and Viva Honor Rominger Billhymer. She graduated from Davis County High School in 1962. On September 9, 1967 she married Cullie Kline in Pulaski. The couple worked on the farm together and had two children, Ronnie and Stacie. Outside of a few years working at the Davis County Treasurers office, Karen worked on the farm raising sheep, goats, and handling chores that come with farm life. She liked working in her garden, canning vegetables, baking delicious cobblers, and making crafts. Time on the farm with her husband and children was very dear to her.
Over the years, Karen was involved in the Pulaski Mothers Club, North Missouri Goat Association, and the Pulaski Methodist Church while it was in operation.
She is survived by her husband; son, Ronnie (Amy) Kline of Worthington, Minnesota; daughter, Stacie (Larry) Price of Pulaski, Iowa; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Michael Prevo; two step-grandchildren, Marcus (Kelly) Maras, Nathan Maras; two step-great-grandchildren, Jayden and Alisha Maras; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Icle Westhoff, Bea Hesse, Annabelle John; and three brothers, Jack Billhymer, Bud Billhymer, and an infant brother.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 8, 2018 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Donna Olinger officiating. Burial will be at the Pulaski Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday with the family present to greet friends from 2-4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials have been established to Care Initiatives Hospice in Albia, Davis County Dollars for Scholars, and the Reach to the Stars Cancer Foundation in Davis County.
