Krista Joanne Stufflebeem, 31, of Fremont, died Saturday, July 8, 2017, in Peoria, Illinois. She was born Saturday, January 4, 1986, in Ottumwa, the daughter of Jose Angel Alverez, Jr. and Lisa Lucille Stufflebeem. She graduated from Ottumwa High School with the Class of 2004. Following graduation, Krista attended Indian Hills and later Buena Vista and majored in accounting. She worked for 15 years at Millards in Ottumwa as an accountant and lastly at Top Notch Cleaning. In 2005, Krista was united in marriage to Ryan Vannoy in Ottumwa and they later divorced. She enjoyed scrapbooking and shopping. She attended The Bridge Church in Ottumwa.
She is survived by her grandfather: Carl Stufflebeem of Ottumwa; two daughters: Makayla Stufflebeem of Ankeny and Mackinzie Vannoy of Farson; a son: Kinnick Thudium of Ottumwa; a sister: Kristina Stufflebeem of Montrose, Colorado; two brothers: Toby Stambaugh Jr. of Abingdon, Illinois and Josh Alverez of Galesburg, Illinois; and her father: Jose Alverez, Jr. of Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her mother: Lisa Stufflebeem; and her grandmother: Ida Jo Pedersen.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 14, 2017, at 3 P.M. in the Fremont Funeral Chapel with Travis Peel officiating. Kristas body will be cremated following the funeral and her cremated remains will be buried at Shaul Cemetery in Ottumwa at a later date. Visitation will be held Friday from 1 P.M. until service time at 3 P.M. at the Fremont Funeral Chapel with the family present during that time to greet friends and relatives. Memorials may be made to her family.
