Lois L. Williams, 73, of 413 Wabash Ave. died at 10:10 p.m. October 8, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
She was born March 9, 1944 in Ottumwa to Lee and JoAnn McElroy Caldwell. She married Larry R. Williams August 14, 1964.
A graduate of Ottumwa High School in 1963, she worked for 30 years at Ridgewood Care Center, retiring in 2010.
She spent many years attending ball games and helped coach while her kids grew up. She enjoyed following her grandkids sports as well.
Surviving is her loving husband of 53 years, Larry; three children, JoAnna (John) Houston of Ottumwa, Cindy (Wade) Lindner of Agency, Larry "Bud" (Jennie) Williams of Centerville; 10 grandchildren; 10 great- grandchildren; two sisters, Lee Ann Caldwell of Austin, TX, Carrie (Jeff) Clark of Niles, MI; a brother, Gary Caldwell of Ottumwa; many nieces and nephews; special aunts, Joyce Litch and Marilyn Pickerell; sisters-in-law, and brothers- in law.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother, Janet Cole, Bob Caldwell and Linda Caldwell.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the services.
Visitation begins at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the family present from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
