Bertha Lucille Morrow, 85, of Moulton and had been a recent resident of The Haven in Ottumwa, died at 3:15 a.m. August 19, 2017 at Vista Woods Care Center in Ottumwa.
She was born March 9, 1932 in Garnett, KS to Orvil and Daisy Peek Swope. She married Loren Wilson and he preceded her in death. She married Max Morrow on May 11, 1991 in Garnett, KS.
A graduate of Garnett, KS High School, she earned a degree in cosmetology. Lucille owned and operated a hair salon in Garnett, KS.
She was a member of Orleans Church of Christ in Moulton and she loved to cook and bake pies.
Surviving is her husband, Max; two sons, Loren (Juanita) Wilson Jr. and Jimmy (Karen) Wilson both of Kansas; a step-son, Gene (Jeanie) Morrow of Moulton; a step-daughter Susie Johns of Ottumwa; 20 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 29 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Richard Wilson; an infant daughter, Anna Wilson; four sisters; two step-sons, Larry and Jerry Morrow; and her step-father, Art Teeter.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday August 28, 2017 at Reece Funeral Home with Jerry Weller officiating. Burial will be in Garnett Cemetery in Garnett, KS.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Sunday August 27, 2017 at Reece Funeral Home with the family present from 2 to 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice serving Davis and Wapello Counties, 927 Pennsylvania Ave. Ottumwa, IA 52501.
