Margaret Ann Reinier Ellis, 103, of Fairfield and formerly of Ollie, died Thursday, March 1, 2018, at the Sunnybrook Living Care Center in Fairfield. She was born Thursday, March 5, 1914, the daughter of Okey Eugene and Mable Bradley Reinier. Margaret graduated from the Ollie High School. She worked as the switchboard operator in Ollie for a time. On April 28, 1933 Margaret was united in marriage to Ralph Lynden Ellis. Together they raised three children Bob, Carla, and Larry. Margaret enjoyed gardening, crocheting, jig saw puzzles, visiting with people and spending time with her family. She was an amazing cook and baker.
She is survived by her two sons: Bob (&Judy;) Ellis and Larry (& Patty) Ellis both of Ollie; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; a sister: Virginia Ness of Fairfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a daughter: Carla Ellis; a grandson; a great grandson; three brothers: Rex, Joe and Edwin Reinier; and two sisters: Gladys Downey and Florence Reinier.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at Prairie View United Methodist Church in Ollie with Pastor Danny Cary officiating. Burial will be in Rock Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, March 5, 2018, from 5 7 P.M. in the Prairie View United Methodist Church in Ollie with the family present at the church during that time to greet friends and relatives. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donors choosing.
