She was born February 26, 1937 in Garden Grove to Dewey and Helen Irene Decker Ivins. She married Robert Briner on May 29, 1955.
A graduate of Corydon High School Marylin had been a member of Agency United Methodist Church and I.O.O.F. Magnolia Lodge #24.
Surviving is her husband, Robert, 3 daughters, Mary (Gary Dietrich) Shepard and Becky (Paul) Longaker, both of Agency, and Lisa Lillard of Pleasant Hill; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ronald (Mary Jane) Ivins of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Mark E. Briner and a great-grandson, Bryce Briner.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Mel Kendall officiating. Burial will be in Agency Cemetery
Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Sunday with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Serving Davis and Wapello Counties or Vista Woods Activity Fund.
