Mary Kathryn House, 82, of Ottumwa died at 5:40 a.m. February 28, 2018 at Hospice House.
She was born September 7, 1935 to H.J. and Lucille Hobbs Fletcher. She married Dwayne Junior House September 18, 1951. He preceded her in death October 12, 2015.
Mary attended Ottumwa High School and worked as a waitress at Spalding Café, Ofilds Café and Howells Café. She also had worked in respite care, taking care of others.
She and her husband enjoyed camping and attending the Iowa State Fair and the Old Thrashers Reunion.
Surviving are three sons, Terry (Cheryl) House, John (Kim) House and Cory (Deb) House all of Ottumwa; 12 grandchildren, Brian House, Derek House, Kimberly DeWild, Mike Cravens, Jason Cravens, Melissa House, Amanda House, Cody House, Kaylee House, MaKenna House, Josie Davis and Tyler Crall; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Johnny (Sandy) Fletcher of Bladensburg; two sisters, Rose (Doug) Alexander of Ottumwa and Leila (Charles) Hiesel of Stockport.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Tom Fletcher and Herman Junior Fletcher.
Her body has been cremated. Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Mel Kendall officiating. Inurnment will be in Shaul Cemetery.
Visitation with the family present will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Serving Davis and Wapello Counties.
