Mary Jeannette Steinmeyer
December 15, 1912- November 27, 2017

Born December 15, 1912 to Dick R. And Mabel Farwell Therme in Keosauqua, Iowa. Her life long passion was music. As a teenager, she played piano during silent movies. On October 22, 1932 she married Charles Harold Steinmeyer in Des Moines, IA and they made their home in Ottumwa, IA where they raised their two sons, J. David and Robert E. Mary Jeannette was active in P.E.O. and continued to pass along her love of music by playing piano and organ for many events in Ottumwa and teaching lessons until she was 80.
Following her husband's death in 1989, Mary Jeannette moved to Scottsdale, AZ to be near her youngest son and his family. In 2000, she moved to Anoka, MN, near her oldest son and his wife where she resided until her death at 104 years old on November 27, 2017.
Survivors include her son, J. David (Gwen) of Anoka, MN, Robert (Barbara) of Scottsdale, AZ, three grandchildren, Robin Walter (Todd) of Superior, CO, Rob Steinmeyer (Julie) of Phoenix, AZ, and Dan Steinmeyer (Patricia) of San Diego, CA, and two great-grandchildren, Rebecca Walter and Jason Walter, and niece, Diane Sagen, of Irvine, CA.
A memorial service was held in MN and internment will be at Purdom Cemetery in Keosauqua, IA.
