Maxine L. Wratten, 93, of Ottumwa, died at 7:15 a.m. December 22, 2017 at Vista Woods Care Center.
She was born December 21, 1924 in Oskaloosa to Winfred George "W.G." and Verna Fayer Harris. She married Donald Wratten on May 25, 1946 and he preceded her in death on December 13, 1999.
Maxine made beautiful crochet work, and enjoyed knitting and cooking. She spent many hours in these activities and enjoyed sharing her talents with friends and relatives.
Surviving is her son, David (Linda) Harris of Ottumwa; 2 granddaughters, Melissa (Tim) Vick and Sheri (Steve) Lucas; and 4 great-grandchildren, Brandon and Paige Lucas, Ashlee and Matthew Vick.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Paul "Buddy" Harris and 2 sisters, Ruth Stoll and Jean Collins and step-mother, Mattie Harris.
Graveside services and burial will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Lawn Cemetery with Pastor Gary Brooks officiating.
Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home with the family present from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Serving Davis & Wapello Counties.
