Rebecca Ann MacKenzie, 63, formerly of Ottumwa, died July 29, 2017 at home in Mesa, AZ. She was born to Walter V. and Mildred Louise (Mooney) Richardson in Ottumwa, IA.
She graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1971. After living and working in DesMoines, she moved back to Ottumwa and worked at The Ottumwa Daycare Center. She moved to Mesa, AZ in 1998.
Surviving are her husband of 44 years Edward J."Pete" MacKenzie III; son, Nathan (Laura) MacKenzie of Cedar Rapids, IA; two darling grandchildren, Ainsley and Flynn MacKenzie; a sister, Vicki Hoskins of Ottumwa; brothers, Norman E."Skeet" (Starr) Richardson of LasVegas, NV, Phillip T. (Stephanie) Richardson of Gautier, MS and Richard M. (Cindy) of Penrose, CO.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter V. and Mildred L. Richardson; brother, David E. Richardson.
A great deal of gratitude goes to Sandy for taking her to bingo at Fort McDowell, Linda for the white knuckle rides on "the 60", the girls of San Diego: Amy, Angie, Addison and Jenna Mae for the shop, shop, shop and the "nope, nope, nope", and all who participated in "The Letter".
Her body has been cremated and no services or memorial are planned per Beck.
