Tabitha Cunningham

Tabitha M. Cunningham, 22, of 613 N. Wapello St., died at 5:27 p.m. May 7, 2018 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
She was born June 29, 1995 in Ottumwa; the daughter, of Misty Roberts and Ken Schlarbaum.
Tabitha attended Ottumwa High School. She worked as a bartender and at the Ottumwa Courier, working in the mail room.
She was a jokester, loving to laugh and socialize with people. She also enjoyed traveling. She was an amazing, outgoing and beautiful mother to a beautiful little boy, daughter and friend to many. Her gorgeous smile would brighten anyone's day. She never knew a stranger and loved whole heartedly. Tabby once even sold her winter coat to put gas in her car to visit a friend in the hospital. Her laughter was contagious. She was compassionate and deeply loved her son; the light of her eyes.
Surviving is her son, Kaiden Schmitz; Kaiden's father, Joey Schmitz; her mother, Misty Roberts; other parents, Ken Schlarbaum, Barry Roberts, Ryan Rupe, Crystal Bergmeier, Danitta Cartwright; siblings, Adam Lee Roberts, Lathan Roberts, Tre Gittins, Carissa Gittins, Devan Cartwright, Nathaniel Cartwright and Lily Hill; grandparents, Ruth Schlarbaum, Edward Maul, John Roberts, Christine Zwer (Dennis Harl), Debra (James) Pace, Jason Rupe, Teresa Paleo-Zapeda; aunts and uncles, Brandie Faron, Trina (John) Wilson, April Maul, Chris (Amiee) Maul, Shauna Maul, Alva (Sierra) Maul, Fred Gallegos (Rita Ingersoll-Modesitt) and Linda Gallegos.
She was preceded in death by an aunt, Mindy Johnson; grandparents, Edna and John Faron, Carol Ann Gallegos and Peggy Roberts.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the service.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorials may be made to the family to benefit her son.
