Roy Wayne Renfrew, 83, of rural Ottumwa, died November 15, 2017 at his home.
He was born March 17, 1934 in Wapello County to Roy Orvil and Maude Opal Major Renfrew. He married Wanda Nation on December 31, 1953.
Wayne worked for Frito Lay for over 20 years. He farmed for 16 years and did custom hay bailing. He worked at Foodliner for 7; he drove a semi for Sam Koole Trucking for 2 years and for Carver Trucking for 3 years. He also worked at Ottumwa Community School.
Wayne enjoyed country music and was an avid coyote and deer hunter and loved his dogs. He also enjoyed going to the casino and usually won.
Surviving is his wife, Wanda; two sons, Danny (Joyce) Renfrew and Dennis (Darcy) Renfrew; 3 grandsons; a granddaughter; 3 great-grandsons; and a sister, Donna Gardner.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Renfrew and two sisters Jean Edgerton and Reva Holtzhauser.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Jesse Elkins officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Sunday with the family present from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
