Allen's Story

PARKER, Ariz. — Allen L. Beadel, formerly of Ottumwa and Oskaloosa, passed away March 19, 2017 in Parker, Arizona after an extended illness. He was born January 28, 1948 in Creston to Wendell and Nadine Beadel. Al's surviving family includes his wife Jean of Paker, Ariz.; mother Nadine Beadel of Ottumwa; daughter Toni Fox of Virginia Beach, VA; brother Terry (Fran) Genners of Ottumwa; also included are several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceding Al in passing was his father Wendell and his brother Ricky Beadel.

Al was a longtime beverage distributor with Beadel Distributing in Oskaloosa before retiring to Parker, Ariz. to pursue his hobbies. He enjoyed working on and building new show cars and Harleys. Al was talented enough to have had bikes appear in Easyriders magazine.

Al very much enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters and great-grandchildren. He delighted in hearing the escapades of his nephews and great-nephews as well. Al will be deeply missed by his family and friends. The family is following Al's wish to be cremated and for memorials to go to the Shriner's Children's Hospital, c/o development, 4400 Clayton Ave., St. Louis, Mo. 63110.
