Ann Piper, 96, of Ottumwa, died at 2:10 p.m. July 4, 2017 at Oskaloosa Care Center in Oskaloosa.
She was born November 23, 1920 near Lovilia to Joe and Mary Fiore Bonomo. She married Marvin Piper May 17, 1947 and he preceded her in death in 1983.
A graduate of Eldon High School in 1938, Ann was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Ottumwa Women's club, Daughters of the Nile Netaker Temple Des Moines and Ladies Bunco.
Surviving is a step son Tom (Tam) Piper of Ottumwa; sister-in-law, Shirley (John) Watts of Ottumwa; four nephews, Larry (Sharon) Bonomo, Lee (Ann) Lesciotto, Les (Sharon) Lesciotto and Jan Lesciotto; four step-grandchildren, Jeffrey Douglas (Natania) Piper, Jill Ann Piper (fiancé, Victor), Scott Thomas (Lisa) Piper and Kimberly Sue (Paul) Piper-Hiatt; ten step-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, August Santi; two brothers, Louie and Frank Bonomo; 5 sisters, Josephine Fiore, Rose Toigo, Alice Lira and two infant sisters.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor David Klanderman officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Township Cemetery in Fremont.
Visitation begins at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with family present one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
