Gladyth "Dage" Irene Stuhr, 76, of Ottumwa, died at 11:20 a.m. May 14, 2017 at her home.
She was born July 25, 1940 in Ottumwa to Vernon and Arie Larue Holton Ross. She married Junior McConnell and he preceded her in death on March 25, 1985. She married Lyall D. Stuhr Sr. on December 21, 1986 and he preceded her in death on May 31, 2015.
She was a farm wife and a hard worker. Dage was a loving mother, a meticulous housekeeper, and enjoyed yard work and fishing.
Surviving are her sons, Les McConnell and Scott (Lisa) McConnell; four grandchildren, Cody McConnell, Collin McConnell, Jenny (Josh) Downing and Katie McConnell; four great-grandchildren, Madison, Bailey, Karson and Olivia; a brother, Kenny (Alicia) Ross of Ottumwa and two sisters, Beverly Phillips of Ottumwa and Barbara (Robert) Johnson of Arizona City, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a great-grandson, Logan; siblings, Maxine Martin, Linda Poole, Carolyn Morris, Janice Hanson, and John Collier.
Her body has been cremated.
Graveside services and inurnment will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cedar Township Memorial Cemetery south of Fremont with Pastor Jay Allison officiating.
