Diana Lucille Durflinger, 79, of rural Ottumwa, died at 10:07 p.m. April 19, 2017 at Ridgewood Specialty Care in Ottumwa.
She was born February 24, 1938 in Ottumwa to Charles and Gladys Pumroy Dorn. On February 2, 1958 she married Lloyd W. Durflinger and he preceded her in death on July 15, 2014.
A 1956 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Diana was a homemaker.
She was a member of Bladensburg Christian Church.
Diana enjoyed bowling, decorating wedding cakes, wallpapering, upholstering furniture, canning, gardening, oil painting, wood working and sewing blankets. Most importantly, she loved her family.
Surviving are her children, Bob (Tracie) Durflinger, Wayne (Keni) Durflinger, Carla Wagamon and Patti (Jim) Benson all of Ottumwa; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Monty Wagamon; and her six siblings, Charles Robert Dorn, William Eugene Dorn, Alice Elizabeth Dorn, Mary Patricia Stonum, Joseph Edward Dorn and Bonnie Jean Hoefer.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Smith officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 1 p.m. Friday with the family present from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bladensburg Christian Church or Hospice serving Davis & Wapello Counties, 927 Pennsylvania Ave., Ottumwa, IA 52501
