Doris I. Crego, 88, of Centerville, passed away on June 21, 2017 at a local care facility. Doris was born on April 14, 1929 in Howard County, Nebraska to the late Robert and Hazel (Jensen) Reiman. After graduating high school, Doris married Charles Crego on March 27, 1948 in Bloomington, Illinois and to this union, four daughters were born.
Doris retired from Union Carbide after working for over 25 years as a machine operator. In her spare time, Doris enjoyed bowling, quilting and flower gardening.
Doris is survived by her daughters: Chris Craver of Ottumwa, Jo Baethke of West Des Moines, Kim Crego of Belleville, Michigan and Darcy (John) Furlin of Kellogg, Idaho; six grandchildren: Chuck Craver, Tracy Freeborn, Jennifer Leeper, Joe Leeper, Nick Furlin and Adam Furlin. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren and her sister-in-law, Norma Gale Reiman of Clinton, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles in 2010 and her brother, Robert Reiman.
