Jeannine Ann Morrison, 72, of 834 Ellis St, died at 11:10 p.m. February 10, 2017 at Hospice House in Ottumwa surrounded by her family.
She was born March 24, 1944 in Ottumwa to Martin and Imogene Markwell Carroll. She married Richard LeRoy Morrison on February 1, 1973. He preceded her in death on August 28, 2004.
A 1962 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Jeannine had worked at the ammunitions plant in Burlington and at Universal Rundle in Ottumwa. She earned her CNA at Ottumwa Manor and worked at Ottumwa Heights, Ridgewood Care Center, and Pennsylvania Place.
Jeannine enjoyed bowling, participating in Relay for Life, sitting on the front porch drinking coffee with her neighbor Joyce, and spending time with her family.
Surviving are four children, Larry Gene Bankson Jr. (Renee Mitchell) of Ottumwa, Lori (Jody) Geary of Des Moines, John Martin Morrison (Maxine Burton) of Ottumwa, and Misty Lynn (Dennis) Daugherty of Missouri; twelve grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a brother, Marty E. (Maria) Carroll Jr. of Palestine, TX; and several nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Christy Lee Morrison; and a grandson, Zacharey Casey.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Mel Kendall officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice serving Davis and Wapello Counties 927 Pennsylvania Ave. Ottumwa IA 52501.
