Larry Duane Wardlow, 73, lifelong resident of Bloomfield, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at the Bloomfield Care Center. He was born April 16, 1944, in Ottumwa, Iowa, to Edsil Wray and Anna Viola Cook Wardlow. He was a graduate of Davis County High School, class of 1963. For a few years during the late 60s-70s he worked for Darrell Kerby putting up grain bins. He spent the past 17 years in a nursing home facility. He was a member of the Bloomfield Christian Church.
He is survived by a brother, Bradley (Carol Matkovich) Wardlow of Centerville, Iowa; three sisters, Vicki (Doran) Houk of Bloomfield, Anita Trout of Des Moines, Iowa, Teresa (Danny) Porter of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Four nieces; six nephews; and a host of cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; maternal and paternal grandparents; five uncles; and seven aunts.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 19, 2017, at the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield with Rev. Jim Wakelin officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday with the family present to greet friends from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
