Neva Juanita Fowler, 84, of 700 W. Alta Vista died at 1:45 a.m. February 18, 2017 at Ridgewood Specialty Care in Ottumwa.
She was born October 18, 1932 in Unionville, MO to William "Bill" and Gracie Mary Jane Mullenix Beck. She married Herschel Fowler on September 3, 1950.
Having grown up in Missouri, Neva had worked for Standard Kollsman in Ottumwa. She and her husband moved to Centerville in 1981, returning to Ottumwa in 2008. While in Centerville they owned an antique shop. Her primary interest was antique and fashion jewelry. She was also an excellent seamstress.
She was a member of Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Ottumwa and in Centerville.
Surviving are her husband, Herschel; two daughters, Theresa (Gary) Keasling and Treva Boatman both of Ottumwa; four grandchildren, Travis (Sarah) Hougland, Aaron (Jessica) Hougland, Kurt (Jessie) Keasling and Lorelle (Jeremy) Hopkins; 9 great grandchildren; a brother, Richard (Lois) Beck of Texas; 4 sisters, Sally (Gene) Phillips of Ottumwa, Alberta Fowler of Centerville, Carol (Jerry) Kerby of Centerville and Mary Kay Copeland of Ottumwa.
She was preceded in death by a son, Gregg Fowler and two infant brothers.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home with Elder Kenneth Tipton officiating. Burial will be in Rose Cemetery near Graysville, MO.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Monday with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday.
Memorials may be made to the family to be designated at a later date.
