Pamela Ruth Pilcher Runyon, 68, of 109 Hearn St. died at 9:13 a.m. July 22, 2017 at her home.
She was born October 6, 1948 in Ottumwa to Virgil Merle and Beulah Virginia Canny Cantrell. She married Franklin Edgar Pilcher and they later divorced. She married Ronald E. Runyon April 11, 2000.
A graduate of Davis County High School in 1966, she earned a degree in bookkeeping from Indian Hills Community College in 1986. She worked for Douds Stone for over 10 years and she and her husband, Ron, owned and operated Jones Café in Eldon.
She enjoyed NASCAR and antiquing. She especially enjoyed watching and following her granddaughter's activities.
Surviving is her husband, Ron; a son, Joe Allen Pilcher (Andrea Schlarbaum) of Eldon; 2 step-sons, Tad (Shelby) Runyon of Casa Grande, AZ and Todd (Rochelle) Runyon of Keosauqua; a granddaughter, Olivia Pilcher; 3 grandsons, Tyler, Thayne and Nicholas Runyon; 2 brothers, George (Karen) Cantrell and Mike (Esther) Cantrell both of Davis County; a sister, Wanda Long of Keosauqua; along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Craig Pilcher; 2 nephews, Jeff Long and Lance Cantrell; a brother-in-law, Dennis Birchmier.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. Her body will be cremated after the visitation.
Memorials may be made to the family for her granddaughter's education.
