Robert Lee Bevins, 65, of 193 N. Miles St. died at 1:20 a.m. July 1, 2017 at his home.
He was born July 11, 1951 in Muskeegon, MI to Lee Robert and Violet Hawkins Bevins. He married Connie Terrell on July 9, 1977.
Growing up in Michigan, he lived in Chicago for a short time and was a resident of Ottumwa most of his life. He was a resident of Fremont for the past four years. Robert had worked in construction.
Surviving is his wife, Connie; two sons, Thomas (Diane) Bevins of Fairfield, Tim Bevins (Tasha Watson) of Eldon; three daughters, LaVon (Chuck) Seeley of Fremont, Mary (Jeff) Penrod of Ottumwa, Hope (Randy) Regennitter of Melrose; eight grandchildren, Mike, Kara, Tabitha, Brandon, Ryan, Shawayla, Rayna and Maysha; seven great grandchildren; his father, Lee (Nancy) Bevins of Muskeegon, MI; a sister, Laura (Rich) Heycoop, and a brother, Leman (Suzie) Bevins both of Muskeegon, MI and tons of surrogate grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother; a daughter, Debra Bevins and a brother, Loren Scott Bevins.
Visitation will begin 10 a.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home with the family from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. His body will be cremated after the visitation.
