Sharon Elaine Blakley, 62, of 102 W. Finley, died at 11:35 p.m. June 22, 2017 at Hospice House in Ottumwa.
She was born June 3, 1955 in Ottumwa to Roger and Margaret Pyle Brooks.
Sharon graduated from high school while living in Topeka, KS. She attended beauty school and had studied art at Indian Hills Community College. She was an artist and wrote poetry.
Surviving are her daughters, Mary Lapara and Amanda Lapara; 5 grandchildren; her father, Roger Brooks; three sisters, Beverly Grinstead, Debbie Housholder and Robin Porter.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Lapara; her mother, Margaret Brooks; and a sister, Cindy Haifley.
Her body has been cremated.
Graveside services and inurnment will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Floris Cemetery with Pastor Harold Baker officiating.
