B. Joan Lee, RN passed away peacefully early morning on Saturday November 19, 2016 at the age of 86 at her current residence in Des Peres, Missouri. She has gone home to eternal life with her savior and her beloved late husband Robert (Yogi) Lee. She was a devoted mother to Patrick Nellis Lee of St. Charles, MO, James William Lee of St. Louis, MO. and Melinda Anne Lee Williams of Cedar Rapids, IA and treasured Grandmother and Great Grandmother of 5. She was the cherished daughter of Frank and Anna Simmons and youngest of 9 siblings who preceded her in death.

Born and raised in Fairfield, Iowa and lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church. She completed her nursing training at St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing in Ottumwa, IA in April 1951 followed by a 45 year career as a Registered Nurse. She was married to Robert E. Lee from January 24, 1954 until his death in January 1999. Joan was a devoted care giver and a friend to all she met, always putting their needs before her own. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, November 27, 2016 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield, IA followed by the funeral at the First United Methodist Church in Fairfield on Monday, November 28, 2016 starting at 10:00 A.M. . This will be followed by the burial at Evergreen Cemetery. There will be a reception at the church following the burial. The family requests that donations be made to the First United Methodist Church in lieu of flowers.
