Becky  Monohon
Rebecca Jo Monohon, 60, of Ottumwa, died at 9:58 a.m. October 17, 2019 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
She was born August 31, 1959 in Red Oak, IA to George Donald and Mabel Elizabeth Allen Hood. She married Danny Monohon June 4, 1978.
Growing up in Red Oak, Galesburg, IL and Ottumwa, Becky graduated from Ottumwa High School. She worked at K-Mart, Target, Excel and for over 10 years for the Ottumwa Schools, working at Pickwick Elementary.
She enjoyed cooking, bowling, family gatherings and the holidays. She especially enjoyed time with her grandchildren.
Surviving is her husband, Dan; four children, Daniel (Kim) Monohon of Bloomfield, Jason (Allison) Monohon of Ottumwa, Jamie (Shelby) Monohon of Pella and Kaitlin Monohon of Ottumwa; four grandchildren, Kinnick, Parker, Kinley and Pyper; several nieces and nephews including Kyle Jones and Dawn Walters.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Kathy Jones and Ramona Foes; and a brother, Billy Hood.
Her body has been cremated. A time to celebrate her life will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Reece Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Beckey was a very sweet and loving person. I worked with her for several years at Excel. I will miss you dearly. RIP my friend.
