David Fiedler Obituary
David J. Fiedler, 82, of Floris, Iowa passed away at his home on December 16, 2020. David was born and raised in Selma, Iowa to Bud and Viola Fiedler on November 17, 1938. Dave graduated from Selma High School in 1957. He married Della Canaday in 1958. They had 2 children, Richard (preceded in death) and daughter, Teresa. They later divorced. He then married Donna Lewis.
Dave worked at American Chain and Cable for 26 years in the Maintenance Department. He later purchased a rock truck and was self-employed, then drove a rock truck for Norris Asphalt. Dave loved working on anything with a motor. He liked old cars and enjoyed riding motorcycles. Dave like spending time with family and loved his dogs, Trump, Mandy and Tootsie. He was a member of the Selma United Methodist Church.
He is survived by one brother, Chuck (Delores); one sister, Betty (late husband, Richard); granddaughter, Heather; step-children, Paulette Cox (Kenny), Paul Lee Jr., Dawn Boston (Ryan), David Lee (Kristi); numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Paul (Patricia) and Robert (Madeline); and a sister, Marie Fiedler Waugh (Jim still living).
Dave's body has been cremated and a memorial service is planned for a later date. Memorial contribution's in his honor may be directed to his family to be designated at a later date. Online condolences may be directed to www.pedrickfuneralhome.com.
