Ottumwa, Iowa - Diane Kay Hetzler, 81, of Ottumwa, died August 29, 2025 at her home.
She was born July 3, 1944 to William and Lucile Canaday Conway. She married James E. Hetzler November 24, 1963. He preceded her in death April 20, 2023.
A 1962 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Diane later attended Indian Hills Community College earning a degree in nursing. She had worked for 20 years at Ottumwa Regional Health Center as an RN before working 22 years at Union Bank.
Diane enjoyed gardening, fishing, reading and traveling.
Surviving is her son, Douglas James Hetzler of Rochester, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Michael Fletcher.
Her body has been cremated. No services are planned at this time. Reece Funeral home is in charge of the arrangements.
