Elizabeth Coble Obituary

Elizabeth "Etta" Coble, 94, of Oskaloosa and formerly of Hedrick, died Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at Crystal Heights Care Center in Oskaloosa. She was born February 24, 1925, on the family farm near Ollie, Iowa, the daughter of Wade and Ruby Gold Coble. Elizabeth and her sister Isabelle were very close their entire lives. She graduated from Hedrick High School and went on to complete secretary training at Iowa Success College. Following school, she took a job in Ottumwa at Haw Hardware doing secretary work. She retired from there after 30 plus years of service. She enjoyed watching soap operas. Collecting and watching movies.

Her family includes her close friend, Mike Calzeretta of Sigourney; and other family, Katrina, Hannah, and Rebecca Gray-Smith.

Etta was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Isabelle Stubbs.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 18, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. in the Fremont Funeral Chapel in Fremont, Iowa, with Reverend Bob Voels officiating. Burial will be in the Ollie Cemetery at Ollie. The Fremont Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation with the family will be held on Monday morning from 10:00 until service time at 11:00. Memorials may be made to Stephen's Memorial Animal Shelter in Oskaloosa.
