24084 S. Bard Rd., Estacada, Oregon - Frederick Ralph "Fred" Bagg, 81, of Estacada, Oregon, passed away on February 1, 2026. He was born July 19, 1944, in Ottumwa, Iowa, to Ralph Francis Bagg and Grace Marie (Birkinbine) Bagg.
Fred grew up in Ottumwa, graduated from Ottumwa High School and at the age of 17 enlisted in the United States Navy, serving as a Radioman Third Class. His service included assignments in Naples, Italy; Nea Makri, Greece; and aboard the USS Long Beach.
Following his military service, Fred worked in railroad communications for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. On November 9, 1968, he married Linda J. Reed and they shared more than 57 years of marriage.
Fred is survived by his wife Linda; children Sarah (Tom) Neill, Melissa (Jeff) Meiners, Angelene Bagg, and Patrick Bagg; five grandchildren and sisters Patricia Fuller of Ottumwa Iowa and Martha Huber of Des Moines Iowa..
A Celebration of Life will be held February 20, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Crossing in Estacada, Oregon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Friends of the Estacada Public Library
