Corning, Iowa - Jack Richard Post, 73, of Corning, formerly of Ottumwa, died at 7:52 p.m. November 21, 2025 at home.

He was born September 7, 1952 in Des Moines to Max and Lucille Johnson Post. He married Connie Sue Euber May 2, 1970 and she preceded him in death January 20, 2014.

A resident of Corning for the past year, Jack had worked at Iowa Beverage for 20 years. After his retirement in 1991 he then went to work for Excel/JBS for 24 years, retiring in 2015.

He enjoyed fishing, listening to music, mushroom hunting, working on small engines and loved spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving is his daughter, Teresa Coyne of Agency; 7 grandchildren, Lucas Howell, Zach (Ashley) Coyne, Colton Coyne, Austin Morrison, Gary (Endya) Post, Katie Post, Zane Coyne; 4 great grandchildren, Deshawn Clark, Oakley Post, Coraline Post, Josephine Coyne; a sister, Judy Gordon of Boone.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Gary Post; a brother, Michael Post.

Visitation will begin 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 25th, at Reece Funeral Home. The family will be present to greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 26th, at Reece Funeral Home. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
