Ottumwa, Iowa - Kenneth Duane Glass, 84, of Ottumwa, died at 5:35 a.m. January 24, 2026 at Good Samaritan Society-Ottumwa.

He was born May 3, 1941 to Ora and Catherine Glass of Fairfield, Nebraska. Ken married Dorothy Brennfoerder and had three children, Duane, Brenda, and Gene. They later divorced.

He practiced reflexology and retired from Trailways Bus Tours after 22 years of driving with a safe drivers' award. Ken moved to Ottumwa and married Connie Pearson. She brought five children to their marriage, Gina, Tamy, Jenn, Jeremy and Joshua.

Ken suffered a horrendous car crash from which, with the Lord's help, he defied death and recovered. He attended Midwestern School of Evangelism as he healed, acquiring a Bachelor of Theology Degree as he established his building maintenance business.

Ken also used his skills on the administration building, the two dormitories, and Sharon Bluffs Bible Camp where he served as a Trustee.

Ken answered God's call to preach at Exline Church of Christ, retiring after 20 years, June of 2020. He then attended Albia Church of Christ until placing fellowship at Christ's Church of Ottumwa January 1, 2023.

Ken enjoyed song leading, singing in the choir, and spending a long winters day clearing the snow for "Those older folks who have no business being out in this!".

Ken is survived by his wife of 32 years, Connie; children, Duane (Gina) Glass, Gene Glass, son-in-law, Dan Jaramillo; grandchildren, Sara (Larry) Bolken, Caleb Glass, Ryan Glass (Abigail), Danielle Jaramillo and Luke Jaramillo; children, Gina (Cory) Batterson, Tamy (Gary) Doud, and Jenn Sanders, Jeremy Johnson and Joshua (Heidi) Johnson; grandchildren, Lexi, Brittni (Steven), Daltin, Taylor, Prezli, Makayla, Nevaeh, Jayda and Bryan; great-grandchildren, Lance, Jaxson, Kayson, Amelia, Averi, Delanie and Dyson; mother-in-law, Margaret Johnson; brother-in-law, Richard Johnson; and several nephews and nieces.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents Ora and Catherine Glass; his former wife, Dorothy and their daughter, Brenda Jaramillo, father-in-law, Floyd Johnson, and granddaughter, Makinsey Wildrick.

His body has been cremated.

Visitation and memorial services will be at the close of the Spring Rally on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Christ's Church.
